About Us
I’ve called Madison Heights home for over 20 years, and this community has been a big part of my life and my family’s story.
My journey with Michigan Roots began with a little artisan shoppe and a big idea: to create a place where local creativity could grow and people could feel connected. Along the way, I discovered that one of my favorite parts wasn’t just what people were creating — it was watching what happened while they were creating it.
People talked. They laughed. They met someone new. They tried things they never thought they could do. And sometimes, they simply got a much-needed night out. That’s what inspired me to host event promotions for Michigan Roots Events.
Today, I collaborate with talented local instructors, recreation departments, community centers, and businesses to bring engaging creative classes and experiences to communities throughout the area. If you’re interested in upcoming events in Michigan, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to join us.
I’m not interested in creating perfectly polished art classes. I want to cultivate an environment where everyone feels comfortable showing up, trying something new, making a mess, laughing at themselves, and most importantly, having a really good time.
Because at the end of the day, you might come home with something you made — but I hope you also come home with a great memory.
